The Open Air in Petershagen is a small festival in the middle of Germany near Hannover. We have 650 visitors this evening and a selected program with well-known artists from Europe and North America. The location is great and the atmosphere is very familiary. Our musical ambition is to cover all blues style variations in the best possible way, and to present the Blues in a fine balance between tradition and new expressions. So, as always, you'll find seasoned blues veterans performing alongside some very talented young artists, who’ll carry the torch into the future.

Located at the landmarked farmstead from 1701 the festival is a most welcome and well known part of the cultural life of the whole region. Many bluesfestivals all over the world meanwhile are arranged by organizations and local governments that can count on a staff of paid people. Although all the organization and work for the Bluesnacht Petershagen is on a complete voluntary basis. It´s good to know that during the recent years we could trust in a crew which did and still does the whole organization work in their leisure time.

The program for the 15th Bluesnacht Petershagen in 2024 will prabably emerge around November 2023. Updates will be presented in the Home section. Programs and photo galleries of recent Bluesnacht – including the Bluesnacht Petershagen 2023 – are available in the Historie section.
